Confederation of Finnish Industries EK is the leading business organisation in Finland with its 17 member federations and more than 15.000 member companies across different sectors. We represent the interests of the Finnish business community both nationally and within the EU.
EK’s main task is to make our country and Europe an internationally attractive and competitive business environment. Our priorities in EU advocacy are:
- Improving competitiveness and a healthy economy
- Accelerating green and digital growth
- Reforming the labour markets; access to skilled labour
- A strong Finland and the EU in a global world
Brussels pioneer since 1974
Finnish Industries has a permanent office in Brussels since 1974. Over the five decades, we have built extensive networks and high-level connections in the EU capital.
Our mission is to ensure that the views of Finnish companies, investments, and jobs are well considered in EU decision-making. Correspondingly, we keep the Finnish business community updated on the progress of EU lawmaking.
EK is an active member of BusinessEurope, the largest European business and employers’ organisation. We work in close cooperation with our sister organisations from the Nordics and across Europe.
Through BusinessEurope, EK participates in the social dialogue between European social partners. We are also represented in the European Economic and Social Committee (EESC).
