Match Made in Finland
Match Made in Finland group mentoring program helps international students understand Finnish working life practices and expand their professional networks. The program aims to improve the employment opportunities of international students in Finland.
Who is it for?
The program is designed for international University of Applied Sciences students, especially second-year students, who want to develop their professional skills and increase their understanding of the Finnish labor market. The Match Made in Finland program offers students practical work skills, an understanding of their expertise, and the opportunity to learn about different job roles and opportunities.
Mentors are sought from business professionals who can provide guidance on job and internship applications, as well as insights into industry trends and skill requirements.
When?
The pilot of the mentoring program will be implemented in the Helsinki metropolitan area and will last for two months. The pilot period includes group meetings and one company visit.
The program begins in January 2025 and ends in April 2025. The kick-off event for mentors and mentees will be held on January 22, 2025, and the final meeting on April 9, 2025.

The Match Made in Finland mentoring program is carried out by the Confederation of Finnish Industries EK. EK is a major business organization in Finland. It represents the interests of Finnish businesses both domestically and internationally.
