Confidence Indicators Well Below Average

Finnish manufacturing confidence improved slightly up in January. The confidence indicator scored -7 points. Confidence is currently well below its long-term average (+1).

Finnish construction confidence turned down after some recovery one month earlier. The confidence indicator fell to -28 points in January while its long-term average is -8.

The service sector confidence indicator stayed unchanged at a level below average. It scored -3 points in January while its long-term average is +13.

Finnish retail trade confidence is still very weak although the confidence indicator improved a little in January. It recovered to -20 points from an all-time low of -25 points in December (revised figure). The long-term average is -1.
