An intern to our EU division
We are seeking an intern to work in our EU division. During your internship your tasks will include conducting varied and interesting research assignments. As an intern, you will support EK’s advocacy work, particularly in matters related to EU funding and international competitiveness. Your duties will include, among other things, preparing reports, mapping companies’ perspectives and participating in advocacy work related to EU funding and the next EU Multi-Annual Financial Framework as well as EU regulation.
In EK’s new strategy, EU affairs have been given an even more central role. Through our active EU-advocacy, we try to influence EU decision-making so that the needs of Finnish companies, investments, and jobs are met as well as possible. Part of our team works at our Brussels office – we have been active in the EU capital for more than 50 years.
This is a full-time summer job from June until the end of August 2026. Work will primarily be carried out at our office at Eteläranta 10.
To succeed in this role, we expect you to have:
- Studies in, for example, economics, political science or social sciences.
- Interest in EU politics and public affairs.
- Initiative, teamwork skills, and strong abilities for independent work.
- Fluent communication in English; other language skills are considered an advantage.
- EU expertise is considered an advantage.
